Updated WEEKLY!!!
                                                                  August 2001

Wow, we are rapidly approaching the end of summer already!  We have been having a great summer as a family.  Almost every weekend we have some kind of fun activity planned!  Recently, we had a camping trip that was really fun...the only bummer was that it rained!  darn!  But Warren and Tianna were able to still go fishing!  And Tianna caught her very first fish, all by herself!  And get this, it was huge!  It was a 22 incher!  wow!  She was one proud little girl (dad and mom were pretty proud too!)  :-)  Tianna just finished up soccer camp, and she really enjoyed it!  And I was very proud, she did really well, looks like she inherited some of dad's athletic ability and drive!  She starts the actual soccer season at the end of this month!  She is excited...And Lyssie is excited at the start of her first year of preschool...the day she toured, she very matter of factly told the director, "my name is Alyssa, and it is spelled A-L-Y-S-S-A!!!"  She will start after labor day.  Tianna starts second grade then too!   We have been doing fun things like the enchanted forest, BBqing with family and friends, and park trips.  It has been a very fun memorable summer, and I am sad to see it going so darn fast!  I have got to cherish every moment I spend with my wonderful family!!  :-)

July 2001
Well, it's been over 6 months since the BIG move!  And I'm just now updating?!?  Shame shame!  I"m sorry!  Anyways, as you all should know, we had a BIG wonderful change in our lives!  We were able to relocate to "home".  It was a very busy stressful move, but a very joyous one!  Initially, I came to take a job at the local hospital here in town...But absolutely hated it after a few weeks...So accepted a job at the local clinic...which is what I knew and liked!  I've been there since February and am very happy there...My position is  the "Triage/Float RN"  it is more stressful than what I was doing, but I'm enjoying it...The only negative point is the hours...I really am having a hard time working full time...Not enough time to spend with my family, or to get things done...but they are now working on getting me a half day off during the work week...That should help...Warren has been working and enjoying a job in sales...He sells high quality furniture for a ritzy furniture store in town.  And is doing very well!  He has gotten top sales in the whole corporation, and top sales for the store one month, and at least top 3 every month...The most important thing is that he actually is happy at his job!!  What a nice thing to see!  :-)  The girls have adjusted very well...Tianna will be entering 2nd grade, with very high grades!  Her strongest subject is probably reading!  She does so well!  My sister does babysitting for the girls...it has been very good for everyone!  Tianna will be starting to play soccer next month...and we have recently got her interested in sports such as baseball and basketball...We have gone to the local semi-professional baseball team here in town, and she had such a good time using her dads baseball glove to try to catch a foul ball, that she really has taken to it!  So, we bought her a glove of her own, and we have been playing catch with her...Also, we just bought a basket ball hoop, and encouraging the girls...I believe that it's important for them to get involved in sports early...hopefully someday it will keep them interested in something other than boys, drugs , and getting into trouble...Lyssie just got her first real bike...it is so cute...all pink with lots of tassles, and cute little training wheels...she is so proud of it!  she looks absolutely adorable riding it!  Oh, we have new member of the family...his name is Petey!  He is a jack russell terrier, and very loveable!  well, that's the latest ...hopefully I can keep up with updates...God bless you all!  We love ya!
December 10, 2000

"Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday, dear Tianna, happy Birthday to you!!"  Yep, it's my oldest baby's birthday today!  And Boy was she one excited little girl!  We had her birthday party at the local pizza parlour this afternoon...All day yesterday she reminded us that she was almost 7!!  OH and the presents sitting on top of the entertainment center was driving her crazy!  I guess she really is her mothers daughter!  LOL  The party went off with no problems...(the only potential problem was a seasick little sister)...Alyssa got spun on the merry go round one too many times!  But after a few pieces of pizza, cake, and time spent off the merry go round, she was ok, and ready to go play all over again!  Can't keep Alyssa down for too long!  After Tianna's favorite pizza (canadian pizza with pineapple) and another Giant pizza of pepperoni and black olive, we ate some rugrats cake...Then came the presents!  Tianna made out very well!  Among her treasures were:  A purple lava lamp, an aqua lamp, a candle making kit, body glitter making kit, bubble bath making kit, body art set, a pokeman pillow, a skip-it, Nike tennis shoes, LIncoln logs, a crayola drawing game, and some color books/workbooks, and a single red carnation (which is one thing she specifically asked for!)  She loved everything...and has spent the evening going to each of her gifts and trying to do them all!!  The lamps are all set up in her room, and she loved watching both of them while laying in bed...She was actually anxious to go to bed so that she could lay and watch them!!  I went in there a bit ago, to turn them off, and she was STILL awake watching them! LOL  She is so cute...it was so great to see her excitement all day...Today was a very special day for our family!!
The rest of this week was somewhat stressful!  I had found out that, as of December 31st, I am unemployed!  The doctor I was working for decided at the last minute that he needed to have 2 full time nurses rather than one full time, and 2 part time nurses... He told me that losing my position had nothing to do with my performance or skills as a nurse, and that he would give me a great recommendation, but it still makes it a tough deal!  I've NEVER lost a job before!  And I was a bit depressed for a day or so...I'm not sure why we weren't given the opportunity to go for the position, because they basically had the position filled before I even knew about it...Oh well, maybe its for the best...I believe that things happen for a reason...right now, things are very up in the air...but I'll keep info updated as it develops!!  Just please say a prayer for our family that things happen as they are meant to be...:-)  Thank you...will be talking to you again soon!
P.S.  Come to our online photo album, and see pics from Tianna's party!  :-)
