I called several hotels last weekend and I checked out some hotels on Tuesday, May 01, 2001. I've listed several reputable hotels from decent areas below.
Holiday Inn and Accent Inn (motel style with outdoor entrance) are my choices. Both are in relatively safe, clean areas. If you're going to have a car and would like to save a bit more money, Accent Inn will suffice. If you want to shop, the Burnaby Hilton at Metrotown is good as well.
If you've found other hotels, let me know so I can check if the hotel is in a "bad" area.
The prices below are in Canadian dollars and do NOT include 7% + 10% tax. Non-Canadians (e.g. Americans) can apply at the front desk to pay only 10%.
ex. For Canadians: $139 + 10% + 7% = $162.63
For Americans: $139 + 10% = $152.90
Please let me know when/where you book.
