We are opposed to: All religious systems that claim to have truth other than that which is clearly defined in the 66 books of the Bible. Some such groups are: Anglo-Israelism, Astrology, Bahai, Black Muslim, Buddhism, Christian Science, Christodelphianism, Confucianism, Eckankar, Hare Krishna, Humanism, Islam, New Age doctrines, New Thought, Rosicrucian Fellowship, Scientology, Shintoism, Spiritism, Spiritualism, Swedenborgianism, TM (Transcendental Meditation) Yoga, Zen, and Zen Buddhism.
We are opposed to the following groups that pretend to be Christian but can not agree with our statement of faith.
Mormonism: Those of the Mormon belief cannot agree to our statement of unity because they have another source of authority known as the book of Mormon. We are opposed to any writing other than The Bible.
Jehovah Witnesses: Those that follow the teachings of the Jehovah Witnesses can not agree with our Statement of Unity/Faith because they deny the deity of Christ. To them Jesus is not substance of same substance with the Father but rather Created By the Father meaning something made from nothing. We are opposed to any teaching that denies the deity of Christ.
Masonic affiliation or involvement in any secret society: Such a person cannot agree with our Statement of Unity/Faith because they deny the saving work of Christ. While many might believe in Christ in such organizations Jesus is not accepted as the only way. Such a teaching is contrary to clear biblical text that salvation is through the atoning work of Christ ONLY. We are opposed to involvement with or membership in any and all such groups that deny that Jesus is the only way the only truth and the only life. |
