Cast Away is fantastic. Tom Hanks should have one another Oscar for this one. How do you act all by yourself on the screen and not make it boring. Just Amazing Robert Zemeckis is one of my favorite directors, and this one does not come short of being one of his best. The ending I know most people had a problem with. Why could they not get back together? But that's life, and lets face it, most everyone doesn't have the courage to change. It would have been the first movie to make it OK to break up a family, and that is a very risky thing to portray.
