The Sin of Self-Pollution
Generation after generation of Christians have known that masturbation is a terrible sin, but in this Godless age educators and "scientists" are telling our young that it is a healthy thing to do! True biblical morality teaches against this sin, as I shall show.
Wasting Semen is Forbidden
When a man masturbates, he spills his semen into a receptacle not designed by God. There is only one place semen is supposed to go, and that is into a woman you are married to. Not into a handkerchief! God killed a man for wasting his seed in this way:
And Er, Judah's firstborn, was wicked in the sight of the LORD; and the LORD slew him. And Judah said unto Onan, Go in unto thy brother's wife, and marry her, and raise up seed to thy brother. And Onan knew that the seed should not be his; and it came to pass, when he went in unto his brother's wife, that he spilled it on the ground, lest that he should give seed to his brother. And the thing which he did displeased the LORD: wherefore he slew him also. (Genesis 28:7-10)
Here we see Onan, who was commanded to have sex with his dead brother's wife in order to give his brother children, who evilly decided not to give her his seed, but to spill it on the ground. God killed him for his sin. So we see that onanism (spilling your seed through masturbation) is a sin - and a grevious one. You must not waste what the Lord has given you in this way!
Burning with LUST is a sin!
When you masturbate, you fantasise about women (or men) and commit the sin of lust. We are to marry if we cannot stop this burning:
But if they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn. (1 Corinthians 7:9)
Jesus Himself said it is a sin to lust after someone in your heart (when you masturbate):
But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. (Matthew 5:28)
So when you masturbate, you become an adulterer, a burning, lustful, loathsome person. Give up this sin! Sex is between man and woman, for procreation, only, not for solitary "pleasure".
The Natural Man Knows Masturbation is Sinful
When you masturbate, do you feel guilty? Do you close off the doors so that no one may see you committing this act? Do you hide the evidence of your masturbation from friends, parents, wife? You do, and you do this because you know that it is sinful, shameful, something to be hidden. Would you masturbate if Jesus was there? Would you be ashamed if He caught you masturbating? He is everywhere, and sees everything, and He has seen you masturbate. If you cannot say that you would not feel ashamed masturbating in front of God, then you know it is a sin.
It isn't your body!
The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife. (1 Corinthians 7:4)
Your body does not belong to you - it belongs to your wife or husband. Even your future wife or husband whom God has picked out for you. It is not yours to do with as you wish, and playing with yourself makes you commit adultery against your partner. All sexual experiences outside of the marriage bed are wrong including adultery, homosexuality, and masturbation! Mutual pleasure between husband and wife are all that is allowed - not solitary pleasure!
Masturbation is Unclean!
We know from the Old Testament that masturbation is unclean (Lev 15:16) and we know what happens to unclean people:
But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints; Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks. For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. (Ephesians 5:3-5)
Even the natural man knows that masturbation is filthy and unclean, and he must wash himself after indulging in the vice, and hide the evidence. But you cannot hide from God, and God clearly states here that masturbators have no inheritance.
It is a violation of God's law!
God made sex to stop people being alone (Genesis 2:18) and He made it between two people - a man and a woman not a man with himself or a woman with herself, or men with men or women with women, but between man and wife. You should save yourself for your spouse, not indulge in dangerous and anti-biblical passions. If you do not cease you will find yourself weakened and useless to your spouse, all through this vile habit.
Masturbation is a gateway sin
I have met many who started off masturbating, thinking this was A-OK with God, but who wound up rapists, prostitutes, pornographers and much worse, because they became obsessed with sex and the pleasure they thought they ought to have with it. It easily leads to adultery and misuse of the wife, of excessive sexual activity, to addiction and ultimate ruin. It makes you weak, unable to control yourself, and guilty.
All Christians please, leave this sin and lead a Godly life!
