The last paragraph is very important to make this prudent analysis of Mary’s age at the moment Our Lord made the Holy sacrifice at the cross. Jesus was 33 years old at this moment. This fact made us think that Mary was then at an older age. This fact means sincerely that Mary was more than 33 years old at the moment of the sacrifice and that she was a mature woman at the moment she had Jesus the First-born.
By making a prudent analysis of the possible age of Mary at the moment Jesus died for our sins we have to declare with all sincerity that she was not at age 7 when she receive the message by the Angel (as Matthew 1:18 told us). This basic fact means that she was more than 40 at the moment of the Cross. [7 + 33 = 40] . This means that we have to establish a prudent minimum age and develop a full range of possibilities; (we will only use the Sincerity of Our Hearths and a Real Biblical focus to do this).
The picture on the left do not show the real perspective of the possible age of Mary at the time of crucifiction. If we assume that Mary was at least 20 years old when she bacame pregnant, we have to say that she was 53 years old at that time. If we assume that God had to choose a mature woman to be in charge of taking care of " Emmanuel", we also have to assume that this woman had to be an adult woman. We also have to understand that those images were made in the Dark Age where the prince of this world made the big deceits of our history; the deviation of the truth of God. We are not not looking at a jewish Maryas the antisemitism was in its highest level at the time this piece of art was made. When we observe that picture we know that Mary never did that act of holding the dead body of Jesus because this was prohibited by the law that God gave to Moses.
In conclusion, we have to understand that this is an example of why God prohibited his people to make any image of the things that are in heaven in the second commandments; because He knew that by making those images there were always the possibilities of making a false perspective of the realities of the Reign of God. If you reading this article are not convinced yet of what this is all about i have another picture from Microsoft Encarta Encyclopedia 2000.It speaks by itself. Just meditate on the Truth of the Bible as it was written and see the difference between the Word of God and the images of man.
