GP32 Handheld Gaming System

The GP32 is a little wonder manufactured by a Korean company called Gamepark.

This handheld has external dimensions similar to the Game Boy Advance but the comparisons end here. The GP32 has a much faster hardware. Also Gamepark supports (with some language barrier limitations) programming of homemade games and emulators.

In fact, outside Korea the GP32 has gained more and more support from a community of developers and users

The “GP32 Wormlight”

There are yet no external portable lights provided for the GP32 so I decided to make my own using a Wormlight originally manufactured for Game Boy handhelds. Check here for a tutorial.

Fixing GP32 Buttons

Much to my despair the “A” button of my GP32 stopped working. The cause was a broken rubber contact pad that sits between the plastic button and the GP32 control board. Fortunately I managed to fix it. If you have the same problem check here for a tutorial that might help you.

Images for Wind-ups

I have made my own images for use with Wind-ups. Those images include different backgrounds as well as icons not originally included in Wind‑ups. Click here to download those images. I have also added a few images found on several sources such as the GP32Emu sites and GP32Spain sites.

Reviews

I am trying a little hand on game reviews – hopefully I’ll help out other GP32 users with their game choices. The reviews will be posted at the GP32Emu website. My first review is for Tomak. The second one is Pinball Dreams.
