A History of Great Hershey Bears Players


Arnie Kullman is 3rd on the Bears All-Time Scoring list. His # 9 was raised to the Hersheypark Arena rafters in 1998. The "Big Bear" Mike Nykoluk is the Bears All-Time leading scorer. His #8 was the first to be retired by the team.

Throughout the years, Hershey Bears players have accomplished many feats. They have won AHL awards and the adoration of Bears fans.
Hershey fans make the players feel at home and the players respond with great play. Several players have had multiple stints with the team. Many players have made Hershey their home after their careers were over. These include Mike McHugh and Mitch Lamoureux.
Bears players have had some memorable seasons in Chocolatetown. In 1996-1997, goaltender Jean-Francois Labbe won 34 games en route to being named AHL MVP. 10 years earlier, Tim Tookey set a team record for points in a season with 124, which earned him league MVP honors.
Many players have suited up for the chocolate and white and these players are the backbone of the Bears' great tradition and history.
