| The Hersheypark Arena was built in 1936 in just ten months and has been the home of the Hershey Bears ever since. After the Toronto Maple Leafs moved out of Maple Leaf Gardens in 1999, the "Old Barn" became the oldest hockey rink in North America. That run came to an end on Friday May 3, 2002 when the Hershey Bears were eliminated from the Calder Cup Playoffs by the Houston Aeros. |
