Atlanta Thrashers head coach Bob Hartley coached the Bears from 1996-1998, winning the Calder Cup in 1997. He was the head coach of the Stanley Cup Champion Colorado Avalanche in 2001.
Ottawa Senators head coach Bryan Murray coached the Bears form 1980-1982.
Columbus Blue Jackets assistant coach Gord Murphy was a defenseman for the Bears during the 1987-1988 season
Boston Bruins assistant coach Wayne Cashman played for the Bears during the 1968-1969.
Pittsburgh Penguins general manager Craig Patrick played for the Bears during the 11978-1979 season. Patrick was an assistant coach on the 1980 "Miracle on Ice" gold medal winning Olympic hockey team. He is a member of the Hockey Hall of Fame and the United States Hockey Hall of Fame.
Tampa Bay Lightning general manager Jay Feaster served as the Bears general manager and then team president from 1990-1998.He won a Stanley Cup with the Lightning in 2004.
Tampa Bay Lightning Director of Player Personel Bill Barber served as head coach of the Hershey Bears twice. He compiled a record of 28-27-8. He won a Stanley Cup with the Lightning in 2004.
Tampa Bay Lightning radio broadcaster Dave Mishkin served as the Bears’ play-by-play broadcaster from 1994-2002. He won a Stanley Cup with the Lightning in 2004.
