The course talks about treating people as objects when the trainer is meeting his or her own needs, rather than the needs of the trainee. Has this ever happened to you? Have you ever found yourself doing this? What specific steps can you take to keep this from happening? I have not had this happen to me as yet. I hope that I would be aware of what I am doing/saying to my trainee. The thing is that I must be aware of what I am doing and who I am doing it for. I am not the most important person in this relationship. If I felt I was not meeting the needs of my trainee I would refer the person to another trainer who I knew would be able to work with this person. Prayer is important to keep me on track.
