How does humility differ from being a doormat? Humility is realizing that I am different from others and that I have God as my leader. Being a doormat lets others walk over me, take advantage of me, let other things take over me. I can be humble and not overbearing but be a strong Christian. I can with a witness for my God and know that others can see God through me. Others are important to God. I know God already, its my turn to tell others about that great love.
