If we are to understand our identity and be truly competent, we must be well versed in our Christian field, just as secular trainers are in theirs. What kind of "homework" do you think is necessary to be a competent Christian trainer? I believe that prayer although not hard homework, but nevertheless is one of best and most consuming things we should be doing to be a competent Christian trainer. I believe that if we have God as our center, as our leader, as our director, as our guide, as our one and only God we will become a competant trainer. All other homework can come after this contact with our Creator. We can read our Bible, study important chapters (they are all important - but some more relevant to our problems we seek answers too) memorize Bible verses and practice our problem solving devices after this. Once we are confident we have brought the source of our concerns to God only then can we begin to help others or train others. This is what sets us apart from other types of trainers, we have God on our side. Other trainers depend on themselves to take the readings etc. and come up with a hoped for solution to the concern. We have an awesome God who knows all, sees all, creates all. How can we not use this training tool (not likely a training tool, but a source of all we need) if we hope to help others.
