I want to pray about this concern - sometimes I lack faith in myself, in the new me that God has made, I hold on to my past too long and want to go on to a bright future with God as my leader. I know God wants me to shine for him, I just don't want to be a glimmer in a dark night, I want to really shine for Him. I pray that God will shine through me and my past will be past and my future will shine bright with him in my life.
