| Just after we got in country, I made the mistake of letting my Platoon Sergeant know that I could cut hair. They made me the designated platoon barber for the duration of the deployment. |

| One of the best things about that country, was that after we did our thing, the country was one step closer to being free. The Taliban regime was an oppressive minority in that country. Now, girls are allowed to go to school, women are no longer required to cover themselves totally and there are a lot fewer landmines thanks to the United Nations. | |||||||||||||||||||||
