Christmas '02
Several of us from my unit were invited to spend Christmas with a wonderful couple in Chicago.  They flew us from Nashville and had us stay in their home for five days, and let me tell you, it was FANTASTIC!!!
They also invited a couple of recruits from Great Lakes Naval Training Center to spend Christmas Day with us.
Here are some pictures that definately do not do justice to this unbelievable home.

It is an 18,000 square foot home with 4 floors, 2 full kitchens, 7 rooms with fireplaces, a library, 9 bathrooms, an in-home theatre, a bar the size of most kitchens, a game room, a swimming pool, gym, sauna and steam room, as well as numerous bedrooms.
This is all of the Entryway that could fit into the camera lens.
Several of the fireplaces are open from both the front and back so that they can be viewed from either room.
I have had bedrooms that were smaller than this walk-in closet, which has its own window.

There is also an all-cedar closet off of this one.
I had always wanted to swim in an in-door pool and definately took the opportunity to do it.

It was wonderful to swim, then sit in the spa, reading a book and sipping imported beer while watching it snow out side the windows!
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon...   Yeah Baby!!!
This is the John Hancock Building in Chicago.  We went to the observatory on the 94th floor.  WOW!!!
In their home, they had a beautiful and peaceful chapel.
We had an unbelievable time, largely due to the delightful food that was always prepared for us.  Here we are getting ready to eat Christmas Day dinner.
Almost every room had its own, fully-stocked mini-fridge, but there was also an unbelievable bar off of the dining room.

With granite counters and ceramic tiles everywhere, the stone work of this home is truly fantastic.
Lastly, I want to thank Mr & Mrs Negrin for their wonderful hospitality.  They truly made my Christmas a special one.  Thank you.
Everyone, I would greatly appreciate it if you would  visit Ed & Tonie's website.  They have done so much to encourage us in the Armed Forces.  Their faith in God and their patriotic spirit should be used as a role model for every American.
