Rights are rules which we (humans) gave ourselves to live in a society without chaos. There are rules which everyone has to follow: The Human Rights Children need their own rights because they need a special protection and encouragement. Therefore the Plenary Meeting of the United Nations created the convention of children rights in November 1989. They count for every child with the age under 18. Every country which signed this document has to follow these rights in its country. Up to today over 180 countries gave their agreement. Also the Federal Republic of Germany promised with its signature that all German children are entitled to their rights. Because of that it is necessary that everyone knows the Rights of Children.

All children are equal. No child should be discriminated because of its race or its country where it comes from or because it's a girl or it is disabled.

Parents and society have to make sure that children get what they need to live: food, clothes, a place to live, medicine if they are ill, a place to play and (school) education.
Children have rights

No child shall be confounded with another child. The right of a name, membership of a family. The state has to make sure that the child is unique.

Every human has the right to present its own opinion, children, too. Grown-up people should respect what children say and take it serious.

Some children are disabled. They want to walk, jump, do math, write and do great things like all other children. But that's not always possible because of their disability. These children have a right for a special help so that they're less confined.

Parents have to take care of their children. When children are badly treated by their parents other people have to take over responsibility for these children. They should provide them with love and understanding because every child has the right to be well treated.

Children have the right to learn and to get a good education. Therefore there must exist a school for every child. To make all that possible schools have to be free of charge.

Every human needs time to relax. Children also have a right to do that. People have to make sure that children have enough time to theirselves and a place to play.
§
Children have a right of protection and help at disasters and crises, at war and on the run.
§
Children have the right to be protected if someone wants to profit by them. So children shouldn't work like grown-ups or get not enough money for their work.
Children have the right to live in peace all over the world!

The state shall protect children from sexual exploitation and abuse, including prostitution and involvement in pornography.
§
The state has to make every effort to prevent the sale, trafficking and abduction of children.
