| Completed in the summer of 2004, these new paintings are part of a series called Smoke Signals, made up of larger 3x4' paintings and a series of smaller 8x10" paintings, all in oil. The besic themes are about burial, and the earth as a nurturing place. The imagery recognizes nature as a gift for us to learn from, and also stems from the internal tension and piling up of thoughts and dreams in our minds and souls. | |||||||||||||||||
