Where do I begin, well..this is my "informal" web intro about me and a summary of some of the things I enjoy and what I have done, with the people I love best~~~ THE CHILDREN! Children have been my life. I have taken care of children since I was 12 years of age and have enjoyed it beyond belief. In college I studied Early Childood Eduaction, and was top of my class. I am currently a biology/pre-med student,I am a former CNA (certified nurse's aide),was a live-out nanny, and have been a childcare provider for more than one child at the time. I am bi-lingual and, upon parents' or primary care taker's wishes, have also taught the children spanish. I scored a 95% national regent's percentile meaning that only 5% of the nation that took the exam at the same time score better than myself! Something that I am very proud of. I love to do arts and crafts with children. I have VERY thorough background checks; to apply for a military identification,to apply for special badges,to work on a military installation, a thorough background check is must!I was brought up well and have always had a clean and impecable life. I was my husnband's submarin's Kids Craft Coordinator and I had 30 kids or so at one time under my care and just fed off of the laughter and energy. I do not believe in the vcr method of childcare in which a movie is popped in the vcr the child is otherwise neglected for the remainer of the day! Children are so capable of being taught and learning in such fun ways! Playing is learning too! I have a small library of children's books and childcare books at home and have read each one back to back for my own use as I was praying for a family of my own. All children deserve love and attention and, through taking care of children and fostering children, I am fulfilling one of my heart's dream. I am readily available on the national dean's list books/directory and, it is a good indicator of some clubs and such that I have been involved in. I am a trained (but currently not active) girl scout leader, currently a pre-medical/biology major, and putting myself through college through my own efforts and no loans so, I am pretty proud of that drive. I am DSHR Red Cross (which means that I have been trained by the red cross, including as a disaster relief resource.) As a nanny on park avenue, one of the many experieneces I enjoyed a cooked simple meals for the children, nothing out of the ordinary, mac and cheese, anything simple.I have helped out in schoolwork, read stories, and enjoyed the fresh air and sunshine. I enjoy playing and running with the children if they also enjoy it. I have been taught many teaching and learning methods. One of my last employers was Patrick McCormick (Panavision Movie-"stepmom" with Julia Roberts) and he and his family were just amazing to work with!and thier child Mathew was a dream. However, I consider myself so down to earth, can you really be any other way around children? I am a big kid at heart!I am married to a USN sailor and I am 31 years young. I have been a proud and supportive wife to my hubby for 7 years and enjoy my rewarding and special life as a navy submarine wife and proud mom to a beautiful toddler. If you are interested in getting to know me as a person or as a possible child care provider either on a temporary or permanent or, even-semi permanent basis, please email me and, I will respond to your inquiry as soon as I can. However, if the "Im Online" light to your left is switched on (it is yellow instead of grey), I am online and please, feel free to IM (instant message) me as I will be more than happy to talk to you. Thank You and God Bless you and yours!
