Favorite Boy: Either Nick or Brian but it can also vary. For the most part it�s one of those two�. I think because they look the least threatening.
Characteristics: They tend to be young and new to the whole Backstreet World. Usually turned into a fan by an older sister or even their mom. They�re usually cute and sweet (not yet jaded by the cruelty of the BSB World lol). Usually between the ages of 10-15 or 16. They tend to scream a lot too.
Favorite Saying: Most likely to start the �BACK-STREET-BOYS!!!� chant at a concert.
Backstreet Parents:
Favorite Boy: Varies or if it�s a single mom�. Kevin. Or they�ll say they just don�t have one.
Characteristics: Coolest people in the BSB World. They willingly schlep their �Backstreet Babies� to concerts and other events to see the Boys. They pay for their kids membership to the fanclub and sometimes get one of their own. They try to win tickets and or backstage passes through the radio when they�re at work. Some even go the extra mile and camp out for tickets or passes to events. Secretly likes the Boys and their music. Usually 35+++ years old.
Favorite Saying: �Oh I don�t mind it!�
Barbies:
Favorite Boy: Typically Nick but sometimes AJ� though mostly Nick.
Characteristics: Sometimes nice and sometimes evil bitches. Mostly nice if you have something they want. Willing to do anything to get with one of the Boys (or Nick) even if they have to step on you to accomplish it. These are the ones that over dress for every event. Usually 18-24 years old.
Favorite Saying: �Ohmygosh Nick is so totally hot! How does my hair look?� or something demeaning about the plainer dressed girls around them.
Diehards:
Favorite Boy: Varies or they�ll say they love them all equally.
Characteristics: Go anywhere, pay any amount of money or do just about anything to see any of the Boys. They tend to be nice until a BSB comes into view and then they have one track minds and its every fan for themselves. Usually 18+++ years old.
Favorite Saying: �Yeah let�s follow them from PA, to NJ, and then to NY and CT!� or �Let�s follow the bus!�
Backstreet Vets:
Favorite Boy: Varies
Characteristics: Calm, cool and collected. Follow the Boys as much as possible. They scream at concerts and not in their faces. Are able to carry on an actual conversation with any of the Boys even their favorite. Usually were fans since the beginning (either since �93 or �97). The Boys can recognize them and sometimes know them by name. About 21+++ years old.
Favorite Saying: �Hi (insert BSB�s name here), how are you?�
**Please Note** Diehards eventually graduate to Backstreet Vets.
Sleepers:
Favorite Boy: Any
Characteristics: Usually just tags along with the Diehards and the Vets. They�re usually cool and collected until the show starts or a Backstreet Boy walks by then they�re totally into it. Can be confused with a Diehard when they�re in the moment but if you pay close attention you�ll definitely see the difference. Once it�s all over they�re back to being a normal person. The age can vary on this one.
Favorite Saying: �I�ll go if you�re going.�
Closet:
Favorite Boy: Varies or they won�t commit enough to have one.
Characteristics: Probably the most well known and of all the fans. They like the Boys and they like their music. They tend to hide their love for the Boys, they tend to hide their CDs and all other BSB merchandise they may own from everyone they know. The only people who know they are fans are other BSB fans that they encounter at concerts. But they�ll never see these people again, they figure, and if they do they�ll deny everything. The age and even gender can vary here as well but for the most part between 18-40.
Favorite Saying: �Backstreet Boys? No, I don�t like the Backstreet Boys! That�s my sister�s CD.�
