Behold Me    Part IV

The call from God is "Behold Me!" The Scriptures tell us that that is one of the main reasons we were born again- so that we could see with new eyes what God wanted us to see. Before the judgment was upon us that is upon all the unregenerate- the curse that "seeing we should see but not perceive."

Paul's was called and appointed by God to help men to a sight that comes by way of the grace of God and the enabling of the Spirit of Christ. This was Paul's apostolic burden and mission, his passion and prayer; to this end he strove.

"I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision."Acts26.19

Paul had received his spiritual vision before his natural vision was restored to him, that being just a minor tool to aid him in his monumental work of imparting spritual vision to mankind. His yearning and desire proceeding from deep within was that men might see God.

"I... do not cease...in my prayers...that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of Glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the Knowledge of Him, the eyes of  your underestanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of yur calling, what are the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of his power toward us who believe..."Ephesians 1

The 'seeing' that pertains to the kingdom of God has everything to do with seeing Jesus who sits on the throne at the right hand of God. We see the kingdom when we see the King. Everything was made through him and now God has ordained to gather together everything in him.

All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
                                                     Matthew 28.18

The Word and the Spirit guide us to look to him as the Author and the finisher of our Faith, as the Firstborn of the new creation of God.

"...let us run...looking unto Jesus..."Hebrews12.1,2
