| THE JOURNEY Little girl on the bus with a book in her hand reading aloud mother so proud besides her. Tells a tale about life about angst and of strife about teenage struggles as a young girl muddles along in desperation. Trying to fit in with the crowd doing things not allowed roaming streets late at night knowing these things aren't right that she's doing. But she wants to belong never mind that it's wrong to lie, cheat and steal she pretends it's not real but it's too late. Her life is a mess nothing left but confess to the crimes she committed told them all, none omitted All forgiven. Little girl on the bus downs her book , looks at us listening in on her tale wracked with sorrow With her mother beside (she is puffed up with pride) she smiles softly 'There's always tomorrow...' |
