If I were to ask you right now, Do you trust God what would you answer? What if I asked you Do you have faith what would you answer? Now let me ask you this final question, Can you trust God without faith, or have faith in God without trust?
We, as human beings, have a natural distrust for each other and in life in general. This is partly because we, as people are human, and therefore imperfect, hurting others unintentionally. But mostly distrust develops because there is so much sin in the world; so much Satan in the world. This distrust affects some people even more than others, especially if you are someone who has been hurt repeatedly by someone else, emotionally or physically, or through your own dishonesty, you have made yourself suspicious of others. Either way, these things develop distrust for everyone. Sadly this, in most cases, includes God.
Not everyone that has mistrust in God is aware of it, but one thing is for sure, this distrust in God hurts their relationship with Him. It keeps them from being as close to Him as they would or could be. They are being robbed of something very wonderful. Satan is robbing them; stealing their joy. We all know that
John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy
We would like everyone to look inside themselves and ask themselves do I have distrust of, or in God in any way? What about faith? How much faith do you have, none, a little, some, a lot, total? We ask because, a lack of faith could be a lack of trust. When you read something in the Bible, do you believe it, truly believe it? The answer to this question is a good indicator of how much you trust God, for it tells us in
2Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God
If you dont fully believe His Word, then there is a certain amount of distrust. We are warned in the Bible about unbelief.
Heb 3:12 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.
Heb 4:11 Let us labor therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.
Now if you have distrust, ask yourself, where is it coming from? What can you do about it? The scriptures tell us that we are to trust in the Lord.
One thing you can do is to listen to the scriptures I am about to write, put them in your hearts, and when you are feeling a distrust, say them to your self. |
