G O T  L I F E?

God, I believe Jesus Christ died on the cross for my sins...and rose from   the
dead the third day...I repent of my sins and ask you Jesus to come into  my life
right now...lead me into all the truth...make me the person you want  me  to be...
fill me with your Holy Spirit...And thank you for writing my name  in the  book
of life in heaven...In Jesus name...Amen.

WHOA... if you're a non-believer you're probably questioning what in the   world
is that above?!?!?! Above is what is known as the "Prayer of Salvation."  When
you are ready to accept Jesus Christ into your heart, you pray this prayer  (or one
similar to it). Usually it's prayed with at least one other person (holds  you
accountable), but if you can't find someone to pray with, and want to pray  it, go for it!

Accepting  Jesus Christ  into your life, is one of the most important decisions you'll
ever make in your life. It's a decision only YOU, and YOU alone can make.   Now
you're probably asking yourself "Well why is it such a big decision, and  why do I
need this guy Jesus in my life?" Glad you asked!

Do you consider yourself a good person? You Do? By who's standards? Yours,
the worlds? Well let's see if you really are a "good person."

Have you ever told a lie? If so what does that make you? A liar. Have you ever
stole anything? Oh come on, be honest, even just something small? Well what
does that make you? A thief. Now, I know this one gets everyone, have you ever
wanted something someone else has? Been jealous of someone else?

Be sure to answer honestly. No one will know the anwsers but you, okay and God.

Okay...so now you know the results. Were they not what you expected? No  one
"is perfect, and we all fall short of that. That's why we need a savior.   There will come
a day (and just remember that day could be today!) when He  will release  His judgement
on the world. Romans 2:5-13 "But because of your stubbornness  and your unrepentant
heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for  the day of God's wrath,  when his
"righteous judgement will be revealed. God  will give to each person  according to what
he has done. To those who by persistence  in doing good seek glory, honor  and immortality,
he will give eternal life.  But for those who are self-seeking and who reject  the truth and follow
evil,  there will be wrath and anger. There will be trouble and distress  for every  human being
who does evil: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile, but glory,  honor  and peace for everyone
who does good: first for the Jew, then the Gentile.  For God does not show  favoritism.

All who sin apart from the law will also perish apart from the law, and   all who sin under
the law will be judged by the law. For it is not those who hear the law who are righteous "in God's sight, but it is those who obey the law who will be declared  righteous."

If you're asking yourself "What is all this talk about the 'the law'?  Then  let me explain to
you first, what the Law is. The Law is the Ten Commandments....Deuteronomy  7-22 "You
shall have no other gods before  me.
You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven   above or on the earth
beneath or in the waters below. You shall not bow down  to them or worship  them; for I, the
LORD your God, am a jealous God, punishing  the children for the sin of their fathers to the
third and fourth generation  of those who hate me, but showing love to a  thousand generations
of those  who love me and keep my commandments.
You shall not misuse the name of the LORD your God, for the LORD will  not  hold anyone
  guiltless who misuses his name.
Observe the Sabbath day by keeping it holy, as the LORD your God has commanded   you.
Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is  a  Sabbath to the LORD
your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your
manservant or maidservant, nor your ox, your donkey or any of your animals,  nor the alien
within your gates, so that your manservant and maidservant may rest as you  do. Remember
that you were slaves in Egypt and that the LORD your God brought you out  of there with a
mighty hand and an outstretched arm. Therefore the LORD your God has commanded  you
  to observe the Sabbath day.
Honor your father and your mother,as the LORD your God has commanded you,   so that
you may live long and that it may go well with you in the land the  LORD  your God is giving you.
     You shall not murder.
     You shall not commit adultery.
     You shall not steal.
You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor.
You shall not covet your neighbor's wife. You shall not set your desire   on your neighbor's
house or land, his manservant or maidservant, his ox or  donkey, or anything  that belongs
to your neighbor.

These are the commandments the LORD proclaimed in a loud voice to your whole   assembly  there on the mountain from out of the fire, the cloud and the deep  darkness;  and he added nothing more. Then he wrote them on two stone tablets  and gave them to me."

That above is what is considered to be the Law of the Lord. If you haven't   taken the test yet
to see if you really are a good person or not, simply read the above commandments  and be
honest "have you always followed all of those?" Have you ever lied? Have you ever stolen
anything, or looked at someone with lust? etc... If so, then oh boy are you in trouble. You've
just broken the Law. The Law of the one who created you, made you in his  hands and put you where you are. Do you realize how severe that is? Can you imagine what the  penalty will be
f you don't fix this?

Now, I bet you're asking yourself, "Oh my goodness, how am I supposed  to  make up for breaking the law? What is the fine?"

The Fine:
Your Life

But amazingly, someone you don't even know already paid the fine. Jesus   Christ. He gave
his life on the cross, so that we could live. Could you honestly  die for  someone you don't
even know? Someone you've never even met? Jesus  did. He died for YOU. So  that you could
inherit eternal life, and forever  be in the Kingdom of God.  Jesus  loved you so much, he
spread his arms  wide and died on the cross, because he didn't want you to die, he wanted
you to live. Wow... that is love you'll never find anywhere else. You broke  the Law, and
instead of paying for it yourself, Jesus took your place.

Now do you see the need for Jesus Christ in your life? If you don't have him in your life,
you'll perish, but if you do have Christ, you'll LIVE! See why I said this  is the most important
decision you'll ever make in your life? This is a decision of life or death!

t's YOUR LIFE, what are YOU going to do with it?
