Chakra's
The meaning of Chakra, "wheels." The correct pronunciation is actually "Kahk-rahs." These are power centers in the aura related to organs or glands in the body. Chakras are not in the body per say, they are whirls, or circles, which we see in the aura. They are in the physical body, because they reside in the astral body. In Western magic, the most important are usually seven in number and are along the spine from the perineum to the crown of the head. Opening the chakras results in the attainment of various magical energies.
The First Chakra is the Root Chakra. Its location is between the Asphinxture muscle and the Scrotum for men. While for women, it is between the Asphinxture muscle and the vaginal cavity. Its basis is survival, Rooting, Support, Grounding. It is supportive of the interconnecting with the Earth. Its element is Earth. The color is red.
The Second Chakra is the Spleen or Dan Ti'en. Its location is about one inch below the navel and about one inch inward toward the diaphragm. Its basis is in emotions, sexuality, desires. It is primal foundation is energy/power in its raw form. Its element is Water. The color is orange.
The Third Chakra is the Solar Plexus. Its location is the central cavity of the lungs. Its basis is personal power and metabolic energy. It is primal essence is that of the Will. Its foundation is based on one's individual essence or being. Its element is Fire. The color is yellow.
The Fourth Chakra is the Heart. Its location is about 2-3 inches above the solar plexus. It roots out to the heart organ as well and it is area thus is the general area between the upper lung cavity to the heart cavity. Its basis is love, associations, relations, Compassion. It is primal essence is interrelations and all that are in the arena of love. Its element is Air. The color is green.
The Fifth Chakra is the Throat. Its location is about the midway point between the skull and the lower neck cavity. It is about one inch inward from the throat and in a linear vertical alignment with the spinal chord. Its basis is communication and creativity. Its essence is vibration. Its essence is to focus and direct. Its element is Sound. The color is blue.
The Sixth Chakra is the Third Eye. Its location is the central cavity of the brain. The pituitary/pineal gland. Its basis is the intuition faculty and all that they govern with the imagination. It is the link from which we perceive the higher zones and higher planes. Its element is Light. Its essence is within the astral and dreaming worlds. The color is indigo.
The Seventh Chakra is the Crown. Its location is at the pivot axis point of the skull at the very top. It is where the three plattings of the skull intersect, of the frontal lobe, the left and right hemispheres. Its basis is that of knowledge, information, understanding. It is refined thought. Its essence is that of blissfulness. Its element is Thought. The color is violet.
The Eighth Chakra is the Kundalini Serpent. It is not really
a Chakra. However, its location would be just above the Crown Chakra. It would
engulf the entire body in its energy sphere and have its focal point like
that of an ovular field. It is foundation and basis is in Cosmic consciousness.
The awareness is a part and required within this level.
