Everything has changed in a matter of days. My whole out look on life had changed in just a matter of days. I mean here I was starting to climb the ladder in the PDW only to be hoodwinked into a life of crime. This hadn't been one of my plans in life. Yet when I saw red and pounded that drug dealer that owed Mr. DeCarlo money, it flipped a switch on in my mind. I started to like the new sense of power that came with it. I liked the power I had over that pathetic piece of trash. I liked that I made him feel about two inches tall. I liked the sense of authority being associated with the mafia. Yet what was I thinking? This wasn't the type thing a person of my stature and caliber should be involved with. I should be above this type of thing.  Yet I was hooked like a drug addict wanting another rush of adrenaline. Last week I dreaded the moment that phone rang ,but now I can't wait to hear the sound of the ring. I wanted to see my hands covered in blood once again. To think of it though maybe this addiction happened before my first mafia job. After all I felt the same type of rush of adrenaline when I painted Steve Jason's face a nice color of crimson at Speak No Evil.  Heck in the back of my mind maybe that is why I wanted my pay per view match to be another last man standing match.  Though that was the PDW and this mafia thing was real life. The question arose was I willing to risk my life and not mention the people close to me life's to say paying ten million dollars?. More specifically do I want to put Tara in danger's way? I didn't want her mixed up in this thing. I cared for her too much to ever do that ,but I made a deal with the devil and now I must abide by it. I just hope Tara would be lucky enough to stay out of it.

-=I'm Dating The Mob=-

I reflected on my thoughts as I waited for Tara to arrive. She had wanted to come over and just lounge around I guess. I guess she wanted a more personal setting rather than just another date at another restaurant. Which I completely understood. Though we were still just dating on a preliminary basis. This relationship had just got out of the starting blocks ,but Tara gave me the feeling finally that she wanted to start hitting her stride. I knew that I was ready to hit my stride. I stood in the bedroom looking at my reflection in the mirror as I check to make sure everything was straight. I mean even with my good looks I still wanted to look perfect for Tara. Just then I heard a knock on my door. My heart start to race as it had every time I was in the presence of Tara. I headed for the door as a big smile came across my face. I opened the door as it appeared that either Tara had become two three hundred pound monsters or DeCarlo and his goons wanted to stop by to see me. Mr. DeCarlo then appeared from behind the wall of flesh that was his two bodyguards.

" I'm glad you're so happy to see us." Yeah if you were the hot blonde that I was expecting. Though for the first time since meeting him or his goons, I chose to not smart off as my stomach really needed a rest from being a punching bag for Thumbs over there. Anyway I let them in as I checked outside to make sure Tara hadn't arrived yet. I shut the door as the three guys had made themselves at home on my couch.

"So what brings you here?" I was hoping they would hurry and get out of here as I didn't want Tara to know anything about the mafia or that I was mixed up with them. I figured that the less she knew the more likely she wouldn't get in the middle of the situation. I didn't want to see her get hurt or did I want to see Pete's reaction if something happened to her. I mean sure Pete and her weren't close ,but they were still blood and that has to mean something to Pete.

"Business of course." Mr. DeCarlo let out an evil grin that would give the most cold-hearted bastard the creeps. I just stood there as I crossed my arms for a moment waiting on him to explain himself.  He continued to grin as he leaned back on the couch as he began to talk.

"First off, you did well in your first job. Though that was an easy job in which I wanted to make sure you were the type of guy I though you were." I didn't know how to take that statement. I mean was it suppose to be a compliment? Should I appreciate the fact that the don of the mafia thought I was a cold hearted bastard? I kind of thought my good looks hid that characteristic pretty damn well. Then again everyone who saw Speak No Evil knew better than that.

"Thanks I guess?" Wait if that was an easy job, I didn't want to know what an hard job entailed. Though I had a sneaking suspicion that I would soon find out.

"You see there is this rival family that seems to think they can disrespect me by coming and doing business in my territory. They need to be taught a lesson that you don't fuck with Mr. DeCarlo." I didn't know where he was going with this. I mean I knew that he wanted me to do something ,but messing with another mafia could risk my life. Trust me I believed my life was worth more than ten million dollars. "So I was wanting to break into one of their fronts and well let's say make it known that we know they are there. You got that?" So he wanted me to wreck up a place? That seemed pretty easy. I mean this was something that didn't concern people. Plus I would get to beat someone down at Disclosure anyway.

"Yeah I understand." I smirked as this job seemed to be a much easier job than the previous job. Then again it could had been the nerves that made the first job seem more difficult.

"Good." Mr. DeCarlo let out a wicked smile as he began to rub his hand across the stubble on his chin as he leaned forward and began to speak again. "Now the place is fronted as your typical pawn shop. We need you to basically wreck the place and find their goods in the back." His cold dark eyes stared a hole through me as I just listened to him explain. "You need make sure you get their goods. Also make sure you make it known that the DeCarlo owns this city." I nodded at the instructions as he stood up and walked toward me as he lean in and whispered "Just like we own you." I restrained myself from sucker punching the old bastard as I just stared at the wall as a smile crept from the left side of his mouth.

"Is that it?" I said sharply as Mr. DeCarlo stepped back away from me. My eyes still focused straight forward. I knew that if I had looked in his direction, I would had attacked him just like I did that dead beat drug dealer.

"Yeah that is pretty much it. Oh the pawn shop is on 2nd street and here you might need this." Just then Mr. DeCarlo reached in his coat pocket and withdrew a gun from a gun holster as he handed it to me. I took the gun as the steel was cold in my hand. I looked at it as he began to step away. I admired for a moment before setting it on the coffee table. " You have till next Friday to get the job done. So call us when you get the job done."

With that being said he and his goons started toward the door. They opened the door and began to walk out the door. I let out a sigh of relief till I look at the walkway leading to my door and saw Tara Ebdon. The words "OH FUCK" seem to be the only ones that came to my mind. Tara examined Mr. DeCarlo and the goons before walking toward the door. My mind started to race a hundred miles a minute. I didn't know what the hell I was going to tell. I mean I didn't want her to get mixed up in this ,but I also didn't want to lie to her. I was definitely between a rock and a hard place. She smiled as I saw confusion in her eyes.

"Hey Gio, who were those guys?" Damn she didn't beat around the bush did she? She got straight to the point as it caught me off guard a bit. I think I even stuttered a moment before responding to her with a very vague answer that hopefully she wouldn't pry for more details.

"Some business associates." Which technically that is what they were. So I didn't really lie to her I just didn't give her the exact details of my business with them. Tara though raised one of her eyebrows that I admit looked so damn cute on her. She crossed her arms as looked at me.

"Business associates, huh?" Shit she wasn't buying it. I gave her an uncomfortable smile like a little kid caught with their hand in the cookie jar. "Two of those guys don't look smart enough to pass junior high." I let out a laugh at her statement as she didn't quite find the situation to funny. She seemed too in tune with Sherlock Holmes to find her own statement funny. She then looked at the coffee table as I noticed it at the same time she did. The GUN! "Why do you have a gun?" Fuck, it was time to come clean.

"Okay I--" I froze for a moment as Tara just stared at me with those beautiful eyes of her. " Well you see--" How was I going to explain this to her? I began to pace back and forth as I started to explain. "You know those mafia guys that Riley had a run in with..." Before I could continue she cut me off.

"Those were the mafia guys?" I just nodded my head to her. "Where they same guys that broke Riley's finger?" Again all I could do is nod my head at her. She was taken back a bit at the admission as she took a seat on the couch "Are you okay?". She looked at me as I saw the concern in her eyes.

"Yes, I'm fine." I mean I thought I could take care of myself pretty well. Tara still was trying to put the pieces together as I wasn't helping her much.

"Why were they here?" She looked at me as I finally decided to come clean with her. I mean she probably wouldn't quit till she got the whole story anyway.

"Well you see they met me the other week after I got back from a show saying I owed them money. Then Mr. DeCarlo, the older man, gave me an option. I could continue paying them every week till I pay off ten million dollars or I could work for him till we are even. So I chose to work for him and they were coming by to let me know about my next job." Tara just looked at me with a dumbfounded look on her face. She appeared that she didn't know what to think. She then responded a few moments to take all of what I said in.

"Why didn't you tell me earlier." I didn't know. I kind wanted to keep it to myself. She didn't need to worry about safety twenty four seven.

"I didn't want you getting involved with it" She laughed a bit as I was taken back a bit from the laughter. She shook her head at my statement which puzzled me to say the least.

"I've been on the run from a cult that wanted to kill the me the last couple of years. I think I can handle dating a guy that is involved with the mafia." I guess that was true. I mean after all she had been through quite a bit. Then again her last name Ebdon and that always means drama.  "But Gio why didn't you just continue paying the money? I mean it is a whole lot safer. I pretty sure you could afford it." Well look at that she actually is looking out for my safety. Though I could just pay them ten million dollars cause I was scared.

"I don't know it just seemed better than paying them. I didn't want to be the kid that paid the bullies their lunch money so they wouldn't get beat up." I don't know if it was my ego or what ,but I could just keep handing them my money. I was the next big thing in the PDW for crying out loud. Tara listened to my reason as she made a rebuttal.

"So you rather be the bully's lackey and do his bidding?" Ouch when she put it that way it didn't sound as great. I mean that had been what people had seen me since I joined the PDW. They saw me as nothing more than a lackey in the Pantheon. I knew that would change when I had belt around my waist.

"I know. Yet the two choices weren't great ,but don't worry I can watch out for myself." I had just beaten the shit out of a drug dealer last week and this week was nothing more than a vandalizing. The job weren't exactly difficult.

"I guess ,but I just don't want anything bad to happen to you. I like you a lot." Tara let out a smile that lit up her face. I then instinctively smile back at her.

"Trust me it won't." I mean come on I knew how to handle myself. She seemed to want to believe that ,but still she couldn't showed concern in her eyes.

"Anyway why are they going after you and not Riley?" I really didn't know that. I mean I guess it was cause they knew I had money while Riley didn't.

"I guess since I paid them, plus Riley isn't exactly the most imposing looking man for the mafia." She nodded as she looked at the gun as she could tell that just the mention of Riley's name made my blood boil.

"So what is this next job?" I didn't know if I should tell her. I didn't want them coming after her if they found out she knew about the jobs and them. The group seemed like they didn't want to be known much.

"I don't know if I should tell you. What if they find out that you know and go after you?" She let out another laugh as I was confused at why my statement was funny to her.

"You been to Pete's house haven't you? The place is locked tighter than Fort Knox." That was certainly true. I mean it took forever just to get in when I went to pick her up. Plus it seems that Pete has the top line security system.

"True, I guess I will tell you. They want me to vandalize this other family's front and operation. They want me to let them know that they don't fuck with the DeCarlo family" She began to smile and twirl her hair a bit as she looked down at the ground and then back up at me.

"I know this will seem kind of odd especially after what I said earlier ,but can I come with you when you do your job." What? Why would she want to come? I couldn't let her. What if something went wrong?

"I think it's a little too dangerous. I don't want anything to happen to you." She smiled at the comment as she knew that was coming straight from my heart.

"I know ,but there is something about bad boys doing bad things that well umm get me excited." Did she just say what I thought she said?  I couldn't help ,but smile at the statement.

"Well I guess you could come and be some type of watch out." She jumped up and hugged me as she then planted a nice soft kiss on my lips that made my legs weak a bit.

"Thank you." No, thank you. I couldn't believe this girl. She was showing me a little bit of a kinky side of her and what could I say I liked it.

"We will probably do the job after I get back from Disclosure." She nodded her head as we then headed to the couch. She scooted next to me and curled up next to my body as I grabbed the remote and pressed play. I started flipping channel as their was nothing on television.

"You want to go get a movie?" I mean there was nothing on television. She nodded her head as we got up and headed to the door. My mind started to race at the whole day so far as I knew after Tara left I needed to get down to business about my match at Disclosure.
