Oh By The Way.

Here's another use for poetry,a poem dedicated to all gays,of both sexes, who have had problems with declaring their sexuality to loved ones.

I have something to tell you
I need to say it now
It's something that may shock you
And I don't know how

That you are going to take this
And I can only hope
That when you know just what it is
That you'll be able to cope

Am I ill? Soon will I die
Is that going through your mind
I wonder will this make you cry
Or give you an axe to grind

I've wondered how to say it
Do I just blurt it out
I suspect you really know it
So, at me, you're not to shout

I'll just say by the way
Or make the conversation stop
To tell you that I'm gay

Tell me why is it so hard to be
In our modern world
Gay lesbian TS TV
When all of these we've heard

And why do we discriminate
Why are we so afraid
Of those we seem to love to hate
A game we all have played

When after all, and in the end
The thing we have to face
In society we all must blend
For we're all the human race

Is there another life awaiting us when our time here on this Earth is done? I, for one, would like to think so......................................

     Is there a place for us that's in store
     Where nobody's rich, and nobody's poor
     And everyone's good,and nobody's bad
     And everyone's happy, and nobody's sad
     And nobody's black, and nobody's white
     And nobody's angry, and needing to fight
     And everyone laughs, and nobody cries
     And everyone lives, and nobody dies
