Israel

Born a new nation, in forty-eight,
Israel, small but strangely great,
Is watched by the world, again and again,
As if some climax in history related to them.
Isnt it strange that because of a babe
Born in a manger, in Bethlehem laid,
Time was divided forevermore;
A.D. and B.C., aft and before?
How sad to think you held in you hand
Gods only Son, the Savior of man,
And never knew, no never knew,
That God had come to visit you.
Israel, you are only a speck!
Our nation is great and, yet in respect,
I watch 'Gods chosen' and pray that we,
Together, might watch for our coming King!
