Late 1999 - Early 2000
Our first apartment, AKA the Roach Motel. It was Very small and we had lots of unwelcome "roommates." We didn't have enough room for anything!
To get an idea of how small this place was, the lamp you see in both pictures was Not moved, yes, it was in the center of our living room/kitchen, one-half of our apartment.
Here is our second apartment in Youngwood. We live in the right apt. on the second floor.
Here it is from the back! we are on the 3rd floor in back.
The kitchen as its own room!! We're moving up in the world.
This happened in March of 2000, about 7a.m. It fell on Tim while he held up the kitchen trash can as i called the landlord to report a "leak."
Tim's expression upon realising that this copy of Braveheart was on a dvd... could Chris really have bought him a dvd player???
...And of course I did, and he had NO IDEA. Here he is finding it in the oven.
Our sisters Steph and Chris both graduated in 2001, and Steph was visiting, so we had them open gifts together. We had some small items in gift bags, and the last gift for each was a tissue box stuffed with 50 one dollar bills taped end to end. Here they are politely accepting the boxes of tissues. Look at the expressions!!
And look how the expressions change when they realise that there is money inside!! It was a lot of fun.
