Did you know there are over 20 different Griffey RC's!?!?  Many of them, like the Upper Deck #1, changed the hobby.  Some, like the 1989 Scoremasters, are inserts.  Others, like the 1989 Bowman Tiffany, are very rare, and most of them are condition sensitive. This page will describe my Griffey RCs, the several different kinds, news, prices, and opinions.

Section 2.  A Griffey RCs checklist

1.  1989 Bowman #220-$25, Gem Mt-$1500
The 1989 Bowman cards are a couple CM's taller than normal cards.  Bowman cards were very condition sensitive, and BGS has never graded a 1989 Bowman Griffey Gem Mt!  The Bowman can be found in packs, and boxes sell around $40.

2.  1989 Bowman Tiffany #220-$400, Gem Mt-$10000
The 1989 Bowman Tiffany Griffey is the rarest and most sought after Griffey RC ever!  Only 5000 Bowman Tiffany sets were made!  Sets sell for $800!  The only difference between Bowman and Tiffany is that the surfaces are shiny.  These cards are probably the most condition sensitive.  None have even been graded a BGS 9-10!  The most expensive Griffey RC, selling more than 3 time more than the UD #1!

1989 Classic Orange #131-$30, Gem Mt-$600
The very nice Classic Griffey's.  Come in complete factory set only.  These RCs are always over looked.
1989 Classic Purple #193-$25, Gem Mt-$400

1989 Donruss #33-$25, Gem Mt-$2000
This card sold in auction for over $4000 in BGS 9.5 condition! This card is always very condition sensitive, and only two are BGS 9.5, compared to the many in SCG 98, or PSA 10.  Bad centering, chipped edges, and very small print spots.  Boxes usually sell around $30, and packs are around $1-$2

1989 Donruss Baseball's Best #192-$60,  Gem Mt-$1800
Another condition sensitive Griffey RC.  Only distributed in factory set form, and very rare.  Sets sell for $150!
