�Oooh sorry,� I said as I stood up. �I guess I�m kinda klutzy�. �Nah,� he said to me. �My name is Terianne.� �Greg� �Hey Greg,� I said kinda laughing �gotta love these custodians, don�t ya�. �Yeah, don�t they know how to put up signs. Geez.� �I know,� I said laughing again, this time sincere. Then Greg flashed me a big smile. I totally melted. Then just as I was about to leave Greg said �Why don�t you come to the arcade with me. I was going to meet some of my friends there.� �Ummm, sure� I said as I smiled. The arcade was on the bottom floor in the middle. I grabbed my lemon aid and my purse as we headed to the stairs. This is a pretty big mall, it has elevators, and escalators, and stairs. Lol. While we walked down the steps we talked. We talked about everything in our ten minute journey to the arcade. We talked about our favorite colors, hobbies, and even school. By the time we got downstairs I felt that I knew him since forever! We got to the arcade and Greg saw one of his friends. �Hey Chris man, this is Terianne I bumped into her at the food court,� he looked at me and we laughed. �Literally ran into me,� I added. �Where is my cheese burger?� Chris asked. �Sh*t, I knew I forgot something,� Greg said. �Here, I�ll go get you one. I�ll be right back,� I said as I tuned around. Convientally, the elevator was two steps away from me. I pressed the button. It made a dinging noise as I felt a soft hand on my shoulder tap me. �Hey, I�ll come with you.� It was Chris. �Okay,� I said as we both stepped into the elevator. Chris pressed the up button as I closed my eyes. He looked at me in a weird way and said sarcastically �Are you afraid of elevators or something?� I looked at him and smiled. �me?� I choked out. �Yeah,� he said as he played with the button on his pants a little. �I guess, it�s just kind of scary in an elevator. They knock you around so much.� As soon as I said that we stopped with a jerk. I went flying into Chris. He caught me, and put his arms around me making me feel so loved. I lifted my head up a little and smiled. I liked the way his arms felt around me, it gave me a feeling that I had someone watching over me. We looked at each other like we were going to kiss until a woman with two little children coughed at the door of the elevator. �Ahem� she said louldly. We both laughed as we headed for burger king. Chris ordered a cheese burger and a large root beer. We walked to the elevator. The door opened and there were two elder people on it. �We�ll wait for the next one,� I said as the door closed. Chris and I looked at each other and smiled as we both pictured the lady that was in the elevator. She had a gray mustache and twitched it. He burst out laughing which made me start laughing harder. We got into the elevator and he put his arm around me again. He began to sneeze and moved it away from me. I sat on the floor to the elevator. Just then it stopped. Chris looked at me and I looked at him. Then we both looked at the elevator. �Great,� he said sarcastically �we�re stuck between floors.� �Oh my God,� I said as I looked at him. He sat next to me on the floor. �It�ll be allright,� he told me. �I sure hope so,� I replied looking at my watch. |
