Such common a question that it made me smile
I got lost in my thoughts for a while
The last time I heard it was a from a friend
Who had a broken heart she was trying to mend.
Have you ever been in love?
It echoed it my head again and again
The question used to make me laugh then
I was young and knew nothing
And I've never really thought of giving love a meaning.

I haven't considered the question seriously before
Maybe that's why it kept bugging me more
I turn to him beside me and now I truly understand
