| Coming to a back road near you! Supercruise 5 Cinco de Supercruise October 14th & 15th 2006 Saturday We will leave from the Trussville Super Target Shopping Center parking lot (Hwy 11) at 9:00 a.m. We will follow scenic (somewhat) Highway 11 North to Reece City. (We may follow highway 411 up to Noccalula Falls but final details will be available the morning of the cruise.) At Reece City we will head east to Noccalula Falls. Definately a pit stop is planned at the Falls around 10:30. From there we will head north on the Lookout Mountain Parkway, HWY 89 to Highway 176 towards the scenic (always!) Little River Canyon. Now, this is where the fun starts! We will follow the Canyon Rim Road (twisty, steep, yes we will stop and take pictures) to State Road 35 and then into Desoto State Park. This is the planned lunch stop around (11-12:00 est), Say, oh, 1 �2 hours (depending on who has to do engine/front end work). From here it a gentle cruise up to Mentone on the Lookout Mountain Parkway. From there, we'll have the option to run the 117/273/176 loop, or head back to Desoto State Park for the rest and relaxation. We have reserved a block of rooms at Desoto State Park (10/8/05) and you must call them and mention our group reserved under the name Chris Neuenschwander - Club Meeting. If these rooms fill up we have a list of nearby hotels and B&Bs (www.tourdekalb.com). The number is 1.800.568.8840. If you want to camp at Desoto, they have campsites! We plan on having our annual meeting and induction ceremonies at the State Park restauraunt Saturday night. All members with an award from the previous year must bring their award to this year's award presentation or face censure per rule section 141.23.56 para 176 of the CAADS 2nd revised Codification of Code of Conduct of Supercruisers. Sunday Breakfast Up to Mentone for some general sightseeing, Look Around, pics and what not. Around noon we will all get together for the usual CAADS HiJinx, then decide what to do. We hope this route will enable a lot of folks to join the cruise. You don�t have to try and make the entire route (it�ll be cool if you do). Just see where we will be and join up!
