WRITTING SAMPLE 1

Christopher Neira

Dear Christopher Neira,

I am glad to hear that you are about to graduate the 11th grade.  Your almost there, just one more year and then youre a senior.  It seems like this year went by fast, although there were a lot of ups and downs with some assignments just being crazy beyond belief and others being extremely fun.  I remember as if it were just the other day when you had your first college shadow with Danny Fleisher.  You guys were funny and seemed as if you guys had such a blast.  I think you guys went down to San Diego where you got your entire project done and then went to Dannys friends house and partied.  You two always helped each other through out the year. Especially when you guys had to read the Crucible.  Some how you guys never really liked the book but still got away passing that quarter with decent grades.  I personally hated that book beyond belief.  I couldnt pick it up with out wanting to throw it in the trash.  Thats one of you accomplishments that I made me proud of you, which was being able to throw down a B grade in English right before 1st semester grades.
(Prediction 1) I think you two guys are going to be friends for a long time, and will have tons of classes next year.  You two have a lot in comen.  O man so many good times back in AJ.  What about when you and Robert Sanchez stayed up all nights helping each other out for that one assignment on Huck Finn.  You guys pulled an all night-er and only got like a C on the paper.  You guys werent the smartest but at least you guys put in the effort.  You two always made up for it by doing all of the homework and by kicking butt on the vocabulary quizzes.  History also had your set of fun on it to huh?  I remember you made your first ever power point in his class and you kept bugging Ben Machtolf about all day long.  He got made and told you to stop talking to him in front of the whole class.  Even though the power points arent that hard to do I am still proud of you for learning how to make a really good one in less then an hour.  I still need to return my of mice and men book, I dont know where it is and hopefully Archer gone wild, wont be on my tail about it.  Its somewhere around my house.  Hopefully the book will be found within the lat day of Mr. Ps final or I am done for.  That book I didnt mind too much, but that was probably because it was just so short.  This was a book that I can honestly remember reading from cover to cover.  Before I would just use the computer for help or ask one of my friends.  This book stuck in and for some reason I actually recommend this book for next year.  You two also had that book out still huh?  I guess were in it together.  You told me that after you graduate, you were going to a college.  (Prediction 2) I have a feeling that youre going to go to a really cool college that you will like.  Who knows maybe youll be able to get a diving scholarship with it also.  Speaking of diving, I snuck over to your pool the other day when you werent looking and I was watching you dive.  One other guy started talking to me and said that you had a lot of dives up your sleeve.
(Prediction 3) I was thinking to my self that hopefully youll find what it takes to win CIF next year.  I didnt think that you were to far off from being that good.  Your coaches also looked pretty happy with the way you have improved, I send you my luck and hopefully youll be great someday.  Im not taking any laptop classes next year and I was wondering if you were going to take them either.  I think I remember you saying that you didnt want to.  Its just to much for me.  I cant bring my laptop, the classes are hard and most of all I heard that next year classes are going to be really-really hard.  I dont know maybe if I hear good things about the classes ill try and transfer in.  Hopefully youll be there to keep me company.  We definitely need to go surfing like we used to in the old days, your going to need to call me up.  I got a new number, its 292-4170.  Its my cell phone so call any time you want.  I hope to see more of you and I hope that your summer is a safe and enjoyable one.
Best wishes,
Christopher Neira
