Read Genesis 2:5
Does that look like it could have been something like Mars at the moment. Then the first rain fell in Noah,s time before the flood. If there were any large seas at that time it would have rained before.

Here we see the Bible talking about a new heaven and a new earth and that the seas are gone.
What does a new heaven imply? If there is a second moon in the sky could it be said to be a new heaven.
If there is no more seas the earth will start looking like mars again and it could be said to be a new earth.
Lets look at some of the events that the Bible talk about that will take place during such a massive change like the birth of a moon.
