Gaithersburg man dies after fight

A Gaithersburg man died Monday night after he was stabbed in the chest during a fight, according to police.
Christopher Malcolm Miele, 19, of the 400 block of Muddy Branch Road, died at an area hospital from a single stab wound to the chest, according to a release from Montgomery County police. Miele and Mallie Banks Scott, 21, of Washington, D.C., were fighting in the parking lot of the Off Price shopping center on Lost Knife Road in Gaithersburg when the stabbing occurred, said Lucille Baur, Montgomery County police spokeswoman.

Scott is charged with second-degree murder and is being held on $500,000 bond in the Montgomery County Detention Center.
Police were called just after 7 p.m. Monday to the Hair Cuttery, located in the Off Price shopping center, because the two were fighting. Police do not know what the men were fighting about, the release stated.
