Squeaky Studio's latest project is being manufactured and an "official" release date will be set in the near future. Requests for pre-release copies can be sent to [email protected] Updated: February 5, 2006 This past year has been a major challenge. One goal I’ve had for a few years is to record a full length LIVE concert of one of my performances. When I discovered The Acadia
Cafe and discussed my desire
to record a live show there, things fell into place. |

Special Night I was looking for something to do while I was in the Twin Cities to receive my latest dose of chemotherapy. My preference was to find a “live music” performance. My search on the internet took me to: acadiacafe.com. Not only did I find a “live music” performance, I found the inspiration to perform. The information I read on their web site contained a philosophy I had never seen. Only original music is allowed in their cafe. Wow! If I could get a gig there then they would have to be receptive of “my songs”. So, I had to ask... |
This past year a couple of doctors have told me I am dying. The added urgency of deciding “what” I want to do with the time they tell me I have left led me to thoughts of recording a few more CD’s. I have been told, more than once, “Your songs are better live than what you have on CD.” Listening to my “Self” and the people around me, I approached this performance as a potential “Swan Song”... | The hope and realization that I am still healthy enough to play and sing after recording this CD has me planning a future gig where I can play other people’s songs. There’s no urgency to planning and getting another gig to record now. If this CD becomes my “Swan Song” then so be it. Enjoying the journey to the next day and potential gig is living my dream come true. |

Squeaky Studio (Doing IT Myself) There was a time in my life where I lived the “yuppy scum” lifestyle. I had a high tech / high pay job with the time and money to buy the toys to record, mix, master and manufacture complete CD’s. This CD was recorded live at The Acadia Cafe then mixed, mastered and manufactured at Squeaky Studio. Squeaky Studio is my cabin in the woods now. When I disappeared into the woods, abandoning my “yuppy life”, I brought my toys along. I will continue to create CD’s for myself and others. Sharing music will always be a joy and I have the toys to do it. |
