After being up for a couple hours I thought I might be getting sick because I was chilled. I tried to turn up the thermostat to warm up. The furnace didn't kick in so I looked at the thermometer which read 50 degrees! I wasn't getting sick. I tried to call my landlord who is out of town today. It was futile and I was cold! Spending the next hour trying to figure out who to call and getting through to two heating companies, I waited for a call back. While I waited, I searched the internet for a new apartment. This place has had two major problems in the past month. Today's furnace failure and January 3's flood of what used to be my bedroom. There is another "problem" that I don't want to endure anymore as well.

My neighbor who shares the two parking places in back of the building with me chooses to park her Celica and her boyfriend's Explorer in her single spot making it very difficult for me to get in and out of mine. One night a few weeks ago I dinged her new car and didn't realize I had done so until the next morning when she knocked on my door in a fit of anger. There was a bit of good news that my car insurance company told me. The deductible is only applied to repairs made to my car and they will pay for the whole repair to my neighbor's fender.

Getting back to my failed furnace, my landlord returned my call less than 5 minutes after the furnace man bought one of my CD's and left. The place is nice and warm now, I just took off my sweater.
