Levels of separation? Apply that to e-mail and you will be thankful that you are not flooded with junk like this daily...
I am only sending this message because I can and want to raise awareness of the power of internet e-mail. Think about your mailing lists and your friend's and acquaintences' mailing lists that are on your mailing list...
I have received a chain letter of some sort on a daily basis and the doomsayer's motives for forwarding messages accross this wire called the internet is for the most part an annoyance. I am all for spreading humor and good advice BUT when there is gloom and doom included with the message:
"Forward 'this' or evil things will happen to you"
I get angry! This is not only preying on the fears of people, it manifests in increased fear of this technology and life in general.
DO NOT FORWARD E-MAIL WITH THESE TYPES OF MESSAGES.
As a result of these messages I have accumulated 3509 differnt e-mail addresses. So, someone you know, knows someone who knows someone who knows someone who knows ME.
Now think about people's privacy... There is such a loss of respect for it that I got your e-mail address. So, if you don't know how to suppress the receipients of your mailing list LEARN HOW! I did... There are several ways to do it. I will even volunteer to help if you would like to learn. The easiest way is to forward the message to yourself and Bcc: (Blind Carbon Copy) your mailing list.
So, continue to spread the humor and good advice but PLEASE delete the "Forward or else" crap that comes along with it.
