My Web Archive

The following has been edited because I don't think I want to say some of those things anymore AND I don't need to spend the time saying so...

cjm 04/20/00

I am going to start an on-line-mini-publication.

Now whether I can do this on a regular basis or not will be determined by how boring my life gets... ;-)

Also, it will depend on whether I get any feedback from keeping an on-line "journal".

If memory servers me correctly, I've had this site up for two years now. I can't even remember why I originally put it up. I think I wanted to learn more about HTML.

Some of my original goals were to keep it as simple as possible an therefore fast as possible. The less bulk (minimum bytes) the better it would be...

WEB SITE [ I SHOULD BE PRACTICING!!! / WRITING MUSIC / PERFORMING ]

This web site is a total waste of my time and the only reason I do it is really because I like this kind of crap. If it was working for something real like getting people to show up at my gigs or by my CD's then I'd have those reasons for keeping this "site" dynamic and visited on a regular basis with stories and/or new music. So for now this crap is here because I like a good dump in the morning. (or late at night...)

E-MAIL(spam)

I've resorted to spamming people. So, here's something to consider when you forward and chain-letter or use a mailing list. (Some advice I got was to get as many e-mail addresses as possible) My best resource for addresses is my own "InBox". You may want to take me off your mailling lists because I'll be writing to the same people you do if you include their addresses with the messages you send to me... Also, I remove everyone who asks to be removed from my mailling list.

ON-LINE SALES

Even though a lot of money is involved with the "INTERNET" and people are starting to shop there ("here"); I don't expect to see any money coming directly from "this" web site or the mp3 web site where my current CD is for sale. There are not enough people comfortable with typing in their credit card number into a form on the web. The horror stories of credit theft still make me nervous!

So ... I'll keep a small inventory to sell at my gigs.
