Chris Maus  [RAMBLE INDEX]

My Web Archive

It’s Friday night and I already plan on finishing "this" tomorrow. Alison won’t be home from work for another 2 hours and I have been thinking about this "Ramble..." for about a week now. So I may as well get started. One of the many thoughts I’ve had, has been introducing everyone I have on this mailing list... I am also going to add and/or re-add some folks because I am curious about what is going on in their lives...

This will be tedious so remember your "Page Down" button and skip this stuff if you don’t care. I’ve also thrown in a question or two for most of you in my intro’s below, so at least find yourself in this list and reply...

There’s 22 of you at the moment...

For you folks that are new to this list I suspect I may catch you off guard. If this e-mail is too annoying then let me know and I’ll remove you from this list. Also, I’ve posted most of the "Rambles..." I’ve written on the web at:

Two years later... I realize the stupidity of what originally was below and have removed it...

listing everyone name and email address and commenting on them was a really bad idea...
(2/13/06 added thought...)

I guess this was an exercise to help me comprehend who all reads this stuff when I hit the "SEND" button. Some of you have web pages and when I post this "Ramble..." on my web site I’ll link your name to your URL. (if you let me know what it is.) If I already know your URL then the link will be there. If any of you do not want this info on my web site let me know and I’ll delete it from the page.

Hmmm... Now that I finished that, what else have I been doing, dealing with, and/or thinking about?

Work has been good but not yielding any good stories yet... My music thang is in a bit of a lull. I am still trying to add songs to my play list for when I get my next gig. I still don’t have an Illinois Driver’s License! I’ll be DEBT FREE! by New Years Eve and I’ve had fun getting there...

(When I sent this to [email protected] I thought it should be in my next "Ramble...")

Well, it’s been 2 weeks since we put Jordan (Alison's son...) on a plane back to Minneapolis. He was here for the long Thanksgiving weekend. There were some trying moments during his visit but overall it was a pretty good holiday for us. Alison worked the day after Thanksgiving so Jordan and I hung out all day Friday. I volunteered to work the box office at "The SweetCorn Playhouse" that night and needed to report for duty before 7:30. I takes about an hour to get there on the bus or about 45 minutes if I take the "El" and walk the mile to the theatre. We planned on Alison being home from work by the time I needed to leave and that didn't happen. I was a bit panicked when 6:30 rolled around. The extra little problem with the evening was Alison forgot to take her keys with her and had no way to get in IF Jordan and I were not there... So, I left a note at the front door, her keys at the bar downstairs and grabbed a cab with Jordan in tow. From that point on Jordan wanted to take cabs when we went places... Anyway, the performance of "The Madonna in Spite of Herself" was enjoyed by Jordan (except for all the swearing :-) and the evening turned out well.

I guess I really don’t have all that much to write about so until next time...
