A Lazy Sunday, sleeping in after a late evening at the movies, a brief outing to find a couple rolls of quarters to do laundry and plans for an early bedtime to start week 2 at work fresh. So, instead of trying to be clever and write a lengthy "Ramble..." here, I'll keep it real short and say only a few things. I signed up at an ISP to get some personal Internet access which includes a web page so I moved my web presence to: http://www.xnet.com/~cjmaus The first week of work was uneventful for both Alison and myself so that means we like our jobs. I am learning the in's an out's of working for the Chicago Tribune. Alison starts work at the actual store tomorrow. Her first week on the job was in training at the Marriot Hotel out by O'Hare. She lucked out and will car pool with a co-worker avoiding the CTA and PACE. We hit an "open mic" on Thursday. (The Gallery Cabaret) Alison made her Chicago debut. I remembered to take a blank tape with me and captured my little stint of pretension. We'll be doing it again soon... Alison's son Jordan will be joining us for Thanksgiving. I suspect fun will be had by all while he is here. With so much to do in this town I know the hardest part will be deciding what to do for those 4 days. (I‘ll be taking my first vacation day on the Friday after Thanksgiving) I got a little flack from my last couple of "Rambles...". I'll keep writing this crap and try not to bore you too much ;-) |
