Results & Plan |
The
CT and PET scans that were done this past week showed that ALL the
tumors in my body have grown. Therefore, my next round of
treatment was canceled and I am home now. The physically
noticable tumor(s) at the base of my neck on my left side and in my
left shoulder have begun to cause me some pain. A brief discussion with my oncologist and family about what to do NEXT lead to first determining what type of cancer has manifested in my neck and shoulder. A biopsy will be done next week... I have tried 6 different treatments to date. The complexity of my diagnosis has no specific treatment for the combination of 2 general types of cancer (melanoma and lymphoma) with two variations of each. (melanoma + melanoma with neuroendocrine differentiation AND low grade and grade 'B' lymphoma). What it boils down to at this point is there isn't a treatment to try that has any real promise. So, the focus will be on "pain management" for now... |
