Cosmic Collection Years ago, I gave my friend Hook a book for Christmas.  He was a folk music buff and often refered to Woody Guthrie and other folk singer songwriters when discussing songwriting.  One day while checking out the inventory at the Majors & Quinn Used bookstore in Uptown I found

A TREASURY OF  STEPHEN FOSTER

and bought it for him.  It's an amazing book full of the sheet music and stories about the songs of Stephen Foster.

I often recall my desire to have kept that book for myself.  I also considered asking Hook's widow if I could have it after he died.  I never did.  I don't have to now.

Last night my firends Brian and Judy presented the same gift to me, unaware that the book they found was the same book I sometimes spoke of in years past.  I could NOT have been MORE EXCITED to receive this last night.  I'll be buzzing with it for a long time.
