Family: Son of Michael Weatherly, Sr., who made millions as the importer of the Swiss Army Knife,
and Patricia, a hospital administrator. He has a brother, Will, and five younger sisters. Has one son,
August Manning, born in 1996, with ex-wife Amelia Heinle.
Studies: He attended Boston University, American University in Washington DC, American University
in Paris (1 semester) and Menlo University (studied commuications) before dropping out of college to pursue an acting career.
Pre-Acting Gigs: He sold shoes, delivered pizzas, and dabbled in songwriting. He also worked in the videotape library of ABC,
a big part of his job there was to log and cart around one-inch reels of tape.
Love lost: Was married to actress Amelia Heinle (who was the original "Jack" on "Jack and Jill" until the part
was recast and Amanda Peet came onboard) from 1995-1997. The two met on the set of the now-defunct soap
"Loving" and have a four year old son, August.
Love's labours: Michael had a hot and heavy romance with model Rachel Hunter, whom he met on the set
of a movie called "Winding Roads" (Rod Stewart's ex wife). The two called it off in early '99.
