| My Grandfather Samuel, was stationed at Fort McKinley in the Philippines during the Philippine Occupation following the Spanish-American War circa 1900's. |
| This was considered my grandparent's wedding picture although they had been married for a few months (she was expecting their first child). |

| Facts DOB: 3/5/1886 Avon, Kentucky DOD: 8/24/54 in Hancock County in Fortville, Kentucky. He was Buried in Grovelawn Cemetery in Pendleton, Indiana. He married Mary Magdeline Devary on 9/10/1914 in Kentucky. Samuel was in the Army prior to meeting my grandmother. They moved to Pendleton, Indiana in 1928 with three sons and a daughter where they bought a farm and raised cows for dairy & butchering, grew corn and alfalfa. |
