{My Mom's Father}
My Grandfather Samuel,  was stationed at Fort McKinley in the Philippines during the Philippine Occupation following the Spanish-American War circa 1900's.
This was considered my grandparent's wedding picture although they had been married for a few months
(she was expecting their first child).

Hancock County in Fortville, Kentucky.

He was Buried in Grovelawn Cemetery in Pendleton, Indiana.

He married Mary Magdeline Devary on 9/10/1914 in Kentucky.

Samuel was in the Army
prior to meeting my grandmother.

They moved to Pendleton, Indiana in 1928 with three sons and a daughter where they bought a farm and raised cows for dairy & butchering,
grew corn and alfalfa.

(Little Johnny died a few years later when his foot got caught in a saddle stirrup and the horse drug him to his death).
