| It's really strange, going for months at a time where your only mode of real transportation is either 1. yourself, or 2. a train - and then all of a sudden getting in a car and driving for hours. It definately gives you a feeling of liberation. We did most of our touring along the coast, but we did head inland for a while, and actually stumbled upon some festival at "Ryu-sen Do" (something about "dragons" and "caves"). Apparently the cave pools at "Ryu-sen Do" are some of the deepest in Japan, and the mineral water produced there has won several awards.
