Essays
Looking through my hardrive, I remembered that over my three years at university I'd sweated blood to write a bunch of essays that have languished untouched ever since being completed.  Therefore, I thought I might as well post a few of them on this site for general interest.  They cover various different topics within the general areas of theatre and film, and (hopefully) may prove of some interest... especially for current students.  To make things simple I've removed the footnotes from essays, but should anyone want a full copy of the original please contact me

So quite simply click on a link and enjoy (if that doesn't sound too perverse)...

A tale of two directors

A comparison of two film versions of Romeo and Juliet, primarily focusing on how Luhrmann's production can be seen as a re-reading of Zeffirelli's classic.
