Editor, the News-Sentinel:

The bickering between the Democrats and Republicans is meaningless. Why? Because they both want the same thing: increase the size of government and spend with reckless abandon. The only argument is who can reward political buddies and punish opponents.

Despite the fact that the Constitution makes no mention of it, Washington insists on funding a Ponzi scheme otherwise known as Social Security. How can billions of dollars be spent on education when kids are graduating from high school who cant even read and write their name?

But the question remains: Where in the Constitution does it say that the federal government shall be involved in such matters? Its obvious the Founding Fathers knew what they were doing when they advocated keeping government influence to a minimum.

Fortunately, the Libertarian Party is truly for reducing the government to its constitutional limits. Libertarians know and appreciate the fact that the United States is great due to peoples determination, sacrifices, innovation, and, as Thomas Jefferson once wrote, "the dreams of tomorrow."
