To the Editor, Knoxville News Sentinel

I was interested in responding to a rhetorical question in the Nov. 27 letters section asking if former President Clinton, John Kerry and Ted Kennedy are also liars in addition to President Bush. Yes! Have you ever heard of an honest politician?

The fact that the Democrats would call Bush a liar or that Cheney would accuse those of dissenting views as being traitors is beside the point. The simple fact of the matter is the Republicans and Democrats, otherwise known as Republicrats, remind me of two kids fighting over a toy.

The bickering and accusations have more to do with who can obtain and use political power. It is certainly not due to any genuine difference of opinion. In fact, they want the same thing: to cater to the whims of special interest at the expense of the Constitution, increase the power and size of government, and spend with reckless abandon. Then, at any given time, they can indulge in their self-gratification.

Too bad mommy and daddy, otherwise known as we the people, are not doing too good of a job as parents.
